AFCON 2019: Super Eagles Players Fall Sick Ahead Of Opener

Ahead of their AFCON 2019 opener against Burundi, about 10 Super Eagles’ players have reportedly fallen ill and may not recover in time.

The illness reportedly results from one of the air conditioners in the hotel, which emitted a virus which that infected the players.

Some of the players confirmed to be down are Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun, Henry Onyekuru and Chidozie Awaziem.

Well, after the Eagles’ opening fixture against Burundi, the team will lock horns against Guinea on June 26 and then wrap up their group outings against Madagascar on June 30.
